I agree with the Postcards from Hawaii quilt, what a great way to showcase all of those vibrant blocks. And I would leave them at their original size other than trimming if they need it. What a lovely gift from your friend.

How about a cute summer jacket out of a sweatshirt.

I recently purchased a full yard + remnant and it has super bright yellow and blue flowers, Hawaiian style.

Going to make a child's size quilt with it. One of the short sides was curved, so I cut it off and will try to use it for an insert piece for its matching pillow cover. The cover will be travel size of standard size, depending on how much fabric I have after squaring off the quilt. To be posted on Ebay soon for sale. from, Debbie, Phoenix, AZ.

I tried to search online for the Seattle pattern and had NO luck. But then I really stink at searching online. If anyone finds a link to it, I'd appreciate a heads up on it. My DS and his DW live in Seattle and love it there so I'd be interested in this pattern for a quilt for them.

narrow black strips between each rectangle and then separate the strips with narrow long black sashing and border in black. I'll try and post a picture I made recently from one Hawaiian print. The ones I had were 8" squares.
