The pine reminds me of my grandmother's house on Lake Guntersville in Alabama. It takes years to get that patina. I agree that if it just isn't for you, you should try to remove it carefully and sell it. The older pines just aren't there anymore so the grain isn't as nice as I am sure you have there. Salvage an profit!

Michael, as I was reading your description, I was expecting something so different! I know it is probably not what you consider a perfect sewing room, but I would be so excited to have all that room. The wood walls are so warm and rich. I know it must be great to have a private place in which to sew; and be able to just walk out and leave it would be wonderful.
