There is a magazine just for quilt shops and businesses, it's called American Quilt Retailer. I would think an ad in that would be worth checking into.

Quilting mags are my fav reading. I buy each and every one I can find on the newsstands, but I do flip through them before I buy. If there is nothing really interesting (any new patterns or colors to catch my eye) I don't buy that issue.

My really favs are the American Patchwork and Quilting and also, The Quiltmaker and a.most anything that McCalls publishes. I find that Fons and Porter USED to be really great but now they are more into getting you to buy the tools that they advertise. Also those silly "safety" gloves. The patterns are not as good as they used to be. And the cutting instructions leave something to be desired. Some of their other mags, like Easy Quilts and Baby quilts are ok still.

I'll get a Fons & Porter from the newsstand if there is something that really catches my eye.

I spent last summer going through about 8 years worth of magazines, marking and indexing my favorite patterns and articles. Quiltmaker emerged as my probable favorite, but am also hooked on Easy Quilts. I love 'em all, but have to limit myself...

Definitely Quiltmaker. I have been disappointed in the last issues of Quilters Newsletter and will not renew that one.
