I subscribe to: Quiltmaker, Quilt. American Quilter, Quick Quilts, American Patchwork & Quilter, Easy Quilts, Love of Quilting, McCall's Quick Quilts, Quilt Almanac, McCall's Quilting & Quilters World.

I buy these when I can find them: AU Patchwork & Quilting, Creative Embroidery, Fabric Trends, NZ Patchwork & Quilting, Small Quilts and a few others.

Yes, I read and log all the magazines so I know what I have and not end up with 2 or 3 copies. I have found much information to be helpful or use them to obtain new skills. I think out of all that I have I enjoy Quilters World the most.

My really favs are the American Patchwork and Quilting and also, The Quiltmaker and a.most anything that McCalls publishes. I find that Fons and Porter USED to be really great but now they are more into getting you to buy the tools that they advertise. Also those silly "safety" gloves. The patterns are not as good as they used to be. And the cutting instructions leave something to be desired. Some of their other mags, like Easy Quilts and Baby quilts are ok still.
I agree about Fons and Porter pushing their products. I used to be more of a fan but am increasingly irritated by how many of their patterns require use of one of their new tools, with only minimal instructions if you don't want to buy the gadget. I let my subscription run out, but I still like Easy Quilts.

Miniature Quilts went out of business a couple of years ago. Not sure about Foundation Piecer; I don't like the technique but they always had a non-paper-pieced easy quilt that I've made a couple of through the years....Does anybody know what happened to them?

Over the years, I've let all of my subscriptions run out. I prefer to choose magazines that attract me. I start by browsing the magazine racks in the quilting section, looking first at the cover pictures and then at the captions on the cover. I thumb through those that draw my attention and then select those I want to read. The last magazines I've purchased are QUICK QUILTS -- spring 2010; KIDS QUILTS (FONS AND PORTER)--Summer 2010; QUILT -- June-July 2010.
