Welcome Shopella. I love your quilts. You do beautiful work. I am from Florida also. I am in Okeechobee which is much farther south than where you are. I really love the Cat Stairway to Heaven pattern, I have not seen that before. I would love to find that pattern. Do you know where I might can find that? My grand daughter just loves kitties and this would be nice to make for her. Hope you stick around the forum. You will find it very very informative and it is like a huge family.

Welcome from Oklahoma with a Massachusetts accent. So happy you could be here. There is always room for one more quilter.

You will love all the kitty inspired quilts on this board.

this patern uses nine patches sewn togeter in a stairway look. then the sky has a moon you could always use a bowl to make a sun. The cats are sewn togeter and slit down the back and turned rightside out then sewn on like a patch. when I did this one I tryed to make each nine patch about something a cat likes. If I were to do it again I would make the sky out of 9 patches in lighter colors and aplica a sun on after. And if you can't find the patern try looking for cat coloring pages. the less detail the better you mainly want the silouet. try googling free coloring pages that way they arn't copyrighted!

One of the ladies in this group found a link on the web to download the pattern. So I know have it. I am going to start buying my fabrics to make this quilt. I think it is so cute.
