Sure I like WalMart Fabrics I have used them in two quilts that are at the quilters now ! I like the fabric because it is not real heavy and the price works!

I loved quite a few that WM carried. Unfortunately for me, the WM in my area have all decided to stop selling fabric. Really upset my apple cart too I can tell you!

Here in the midwest Walmart does not carry fabric. There is only one store in the Indianapolis, IN area that carries it. I have a friend who works in the fabric dept. there and she said that WalMart is doing away with the fabric depts in many stores because Walmart is trying to capture a more "California look". I have complained to managers of the stores in my area but it hasn't done any good.

The number of colored circles or colored squares on a selvage indicates how many colors were used in printing the fabric.

not sure which one to choose.

I went all over Walmarts site and could not find an email for customer relations at corporate headquarters. Looks like they are laying low.

I have been buying fabric at Wal-mart for over 15 years. You just have to watch what you buy. I made a quilt for my grand daughter that I used Walmart fabric on and after I was done I wished I had used better fabric. However, 5 years later and dozens and dozens of washings it is still going strong, somewhat faded but intact..so..Also has anyone noticed that some Wal-marts are selling batiks? I got a really nice print for 2.44. Washed it and used it on the back of a quilt. Don't know how it is going to hold up but it had a nice feel to it and I think it will be okay

One can call 1-800-WALMART and talk to someone.

The person basically takes notes and says "uh-huh, uh, huh, I'll pass your message on"

I have always bought fabric from WalMart-there was a time that this was all we had in our area, and we were proud of it.
I have to drive at least 50 miles to even get that now. I do have acces to Hobby Lobby now, they have good stuff too.
I would love to have a quilt shop or two close by.
I guess it just boils down to what you like, and as the old saying goes-you get what you pay for.

I remember white castle hamburgers from my youth and they are the first place I stop for a meal when I go to NYC!
