I've only kept one of mine, it was a turning 20 quilt. I don't have enough room to keep all of them.

I still have my first quilt also. I keep it on my bed. Not perfect, but I love it. It was my first after all.

I kept my first 4...I have trouble parting with any, even if I'm making it for someone.

Wow, that is a beautiful quilt. I say keep it. I must say though I am a newbie at this and after reading all the posts I am totally scared, I am ready to start machine quilting my first. I think I might need some prayers. 8-)

I still have mine. I vote for keeping it. I also still have
the first piece I tole painted. Both show me how much I have
    improved over the years.

I kept my first one, but nothing says you have to.

Mine was made for my Mum around 25 years ago, when she passed away it came back to me.

Yes I still have my first. It's a log cabin lap quilt done in light blues and peach. It doesn't go with anything but it's on my chair in my bedroom just to remind me how far i've come!
I think no matter what it is the first one is always special
