Try a light blue or light green for a narrow "resting" border. Then I like the second blue for a wider border.
Great looking quilt.

I thought of this too, but couldn't think of a color that would work - other than white.

I agree. If you don't add a small border of fabric not in the body of the quilt, it will look like the fabric from the quilt is "leaking" into the border. I often use a black fabric that has the colors in the quilt - it makes bright colors pop.
I like this suggestion the best. You don't want to detract from the fun of the quilt top. Then use A for the outside binding and the back.

If it were mine, I would use choice A for the border and B for the backing and for the binding as well. To me, B is too busy. There is a lot going on the front. However, you should choose what you like best.

Hi! This is my first time here. I love your quilt. I agree that a narrow border in a solid color should be first, then either A or B would look really nice. What a lucky baby!!

Go for the space ships. kids love them. Is he old enough to notice? Kids like loud most of the time. So watch this one grow up to be ultra conservative.

I need some opinions on this quilt I am making for my neighbors baby boy. I like the layout that I have, however, I am unsure what to use as a border. Can I get some opinions please? Thanks in advance! (I am not partial to either one, so honesty is good! Thanks!)
Here are some pictures:
I like the blue with the stars. I think the other is to busy.
Just my opinion.
