Regarding the first attempt, please finish it because it will one day be a treasure for sure. After a while, you will learn to really overlook the things you only see and be so glad this started you on your beloved journey in the fabric world.

Thanks for your kind words! Baby boy will be named Teague after his daddy (rhymes with League).

I will take your advice and finish the yellow zig zag quilt. And I will post pics of everything as I get around to finishing! And when I get a chance, I'm going to do a tutorial for the Mario stuff since everyone likes it so much. :)

Where did you get the blue fabric for the background? I am working on a Mario quilt also and would like the same background fabric.

All of the fabric, including the blue, is from the broadcloth section in Joann's.
