Just wonder if it is "Bank of America" I have read on utube, and from friends how they make mistakes, and you have to get a lawyer to get your money back! Now they bought out -Merrill Lynch, and changed alot of things in their company they had for years!

No - it was US Bank....I have BofA and haven't had any problems. But years ago, I had US Bank and had constant problems. Including a woman imbezzling MY funds...and believe me, I didn't have much in there and I knew what I didn't have! LOL

They would, but they have a committee that oversees what they do, so they can't just change. Besides, if US Bank is doing something wrong.....the banking commissioner NEEDS to know. It could be simply that someone screwed up in keying in the %, but they refuse to acknowledge the problem...that's my problem with it!

I have had a bankers license for over 25yrs. I have worked for very large firms (BOA /Citizens/Flagstar) and you know where the best bank is?? UNDER THE MATTRESS!!! I don't have a bank account. I purchase pre-paid Visa/MC and pay my bills/ make purchases that way. I am so sorry for what they have done to your parents - they need to send copies of all their bank contracts to the Banking & Insurance Commission in their State.

Banks make their money by loaning it to others. When mortgages and car loans are 3-4% and 25% are defaulted on, they can't afford to provide even 1% to savings accounts.

True -- and when they announce they'll pay a certain percentage and then only page one tenth of that percentage...there's SOMETHING that has to be done about it!
