This is too cute. Love the middle. Sure will not have opinion on quilting. Too many talented quilters on this board to help you. This is a man's quilt to be sure.

this is where I got the fish embroidery patterns http://www.emblibrary.com
look in "Creatures of Water", then"Fishing Scenes"
They have lots of good patterns at reasonable prices.

Just bought them this weekend. Had all them in my wishlist & got for half price. Can't wait to put on some stuff for the boys. Hope you got in on the sale. Was gonna send you an email but figured you got the same one I did. Thanks again. Oh the sunperch & pumpkin seed are real nice too. We call them brem in Texas.

I know you said fabric was called forest. Who makes it & did you buy at a chain store or LQS?

I don't feel qualified to help with your question but wanted to tell you that I just love your Crappie Quilt. I also think the center block is great. I'm a fisheries biologist so you can see how it might appeal to me.
