I use them for a BOM that my LQS is sponsoring. I think they are great however, now that I have used them for several months, I don't need them anymore. It is just as easy to cut them out with my rotary cutter.

The trick to getting them off is a squirt bottle of water, like a plant mister. Squirt lightly, let sit for a couple minutes, and then peel off the paper. Any tiny bits left behind are just no big deal....

I have made 2 quilts using them, both "Milky Way" pattern.
Both charity raffle quilts.
i liked using them. the cost 5 bucks a pack at my LQS.
you can get similiar on the net for free.
i didn't have any problem ripping the paper off. i bent the paper back to crease it, and it came off.

I love Thangles and use them alot. I look at patterns and think - now how can I make it with Thangles and can usually make it work with the HST. Have accumulated most of the sizes and have done about 3-4 of the "Buck a Block" BOM from LQS.

I agree with Peaceandjoy. I also hate them. My LQS did a very popular Saturday Sampler and required that we use them. I'm sure it was so that they could use 2 1/2" strips for the HST instead of 2 7/8" strips. It doesn't sound like much but with the size of the quilt and the number of people participating I'm sure this saved them a ton of money. Unfortunately it caused me a lot of headaches. Since then I have discovered the EZ Angle ruler. It is so much easier with no paper to rip off when done.
