I have been in contact with the local representative of Quilts for Kids. They get together the first Monday of every month and I am thinking of joining them next month. I am going to start on my first Downy Quilt this weekend.

Sure have. I find when things are not going good, walk away. It will only get worse. Give it some time and return to your project. Works for me.

I've named my seam ripper "humility". Those 'bad' days just make the 'good' days that much sweeter.

Ah but of course... a bad quilt day is when my dear Anna (longarm machine) decides she's not in the mood & stitches poorly. On days like that I consider myself a professional frogger "rippit, rippit, rippit" Fortunately those days are far & few between :)

OMG!! That is one of the funniest videos I have seen... Thank you for sharing that. I put that in my favorites can always use a laugh or 2.

Yes, I have had plenty of those days... I think its just like anything else we do - good and bad days both. Tomorrow will be a better day... :)

There are days that I swear the quilting "devil" is present

Actually I have quite a few days like that, that is why I own several seam rippers. I put the project away and do something else until I feel like getting it out again.

I just unssewed a whole quilt as it did not make me feel good. As you could guess the seam ripper did a few holes in backing so today put on a new backing and ready to go again. Looks good on table we will see when I quilt it. Used to hand quilting first machine one. DUH

Sometimes I just have to "step away from the machine", till it passes. Sometimes its just not ...meant to happen.

And I've misplaced my ripper!!! I can't quilt or sew without it. That's a bad day.
