How about just fixing him a turkey dinner? It is full of trytophan, is natural and tastes really good!

Have you tried "White Noise?" It is rather like being
near the coast and hearing the swooshing of the waves,
or in the mountains with wind in the pines. Or, in the case
of a city slicker, the screaming of police and ambulances
and a few gun shots included.

Depends on where your heart is, may lull you to sleep.

I have taken trazodone occasionally for chronic insomnia secondary to years and years of working shift work and nights.
It helps me go to sleep but doesn't help me stay asleep. There just is no going back to sleep after that first time up to the bathroom. No complaints here about side effects. I can also tell you that in years of experience as a night nurse on a general psychiatric unit, it was our go to choice for our patients and generally worked very well with very few side effects.

I take it and love it. I suffer from the same thing your hubby does. I can take this, get a good night sleep and wake up the next day without those hangover feelings that some sleeping pills give you. I also like it because I can still hear my son in the night if he calls out.

I have taken it for years and it does help. No side effects. I take it 1 hour before I go to bed but if I am over tired or have a lot on my mind, it sometimes won't work.

I have insomnia due to pain meds I take. I am usually up till 3am every morning. I finally tried a relaxation tape sounds silly but for the last 2 nights I have been in bed by midnight! (I downloaded it on my cell phone it is an app) I wake up refreshed and the tape is just a way to help relax me I was a skeptic until my husband who has severe sleep apnea tried it and has had no apnea since he has used it. The side effects of that drug for me was not good so I have put up with the lack of sleep for almost a year now. Good luck!
