The Midnight Club...For People That Can't Sleep :-)

I have always liked to stay up late. I have best energy after 10:00 pm. Sometimes I stay up because I finally got a project started and stay up to finish. Now it could be procrastination that keeps me from starting "whatever" earlier in day or evening, but I do all kinds of things late. I do quilting , or bills, or computer work (my job involves lots of computer work, so often I get some of that done late. Glad DH doesn't mind, and late is a time when I can have "alone time".

I started staying up later and later when I had trouble either going to sleep or waking up and not able to go back to sleep. I used to get up and do many things (often what I didn't get done during the day that I had hoped to do.) I found if I just stayed up late until I was tired, I would fall asleep fairly easily and I stayed asleep, or went right back to sleep if woke during the night. That really reinforced staying up late!

I suffer from chronic pain. Mine is my back. It is fused from T-2 to S1. Now I have narrowing in the openings in my cervical spine. It is causing my left arm and hand to always feel like it is itchy and tingly. Like when your foot has gone to sleep and is waking up.
The doctor has tried something really different. He placed needles in my neck with the tip of the needle almost on the nerve. He then heats the needle with radio waves, until the nerve has been killed. This is supposed to give me relief for 12 to 18 months. They can only do one side of the body at a time so I go back in a couple of weeks to have the left side of my neck done.
What a difference. I was able to sew all day today without my fingers going numb. My neck is still swollen and sore, but wow, this is really helping.

My right leg pain will wake me up and sometimes I have to get out of bed and try walk around the house. Good thing hubby sleeps through it all.

Hi all, Been up since about 6:30am . Had a lot of errands to run today to help a neighbor moving to a new house. Then to the market and UPS to ship a Bose radio that fell off a shelf. I'll never tell who caused that to happen. In between I did some cleaning and at last I got to quilt a little.
So, since I have to go for a blood test in the early am I will go put myself to bed.
Hope you all have sweet dreams when you get to la la land.
