Hey, your are here and communicating so that makes you NOT a flake! The people who I am talking about are neither here nor communicating! They sign up, never make a block and never let you know they are no long in the swap.
The swap has been extended until July 30th when the exchange will take place so you have lots of time but ..............
try to get them there before the 25th to be on the safe side! I don't think they will wait for anyone after that. Also don't kill yourself making 174 blocks as it looks like 144 will be plenty!
Please keep getting in the swaps you are interested in. They really a lot of fun.
I am about the only old grouch here, the rest are lovely people!

Great point susie, The July 30th date is the final date we are swapping out all of the blocks in New York. Blocks MUST be received by me by the 29th of July to make the trip.

If you wait to the last minute to mail, and your blocks are NOT in my mailbox 7/29 they will NOT be included in the swap.

WOW! So much going on here. My blocks were in on time, barely but they made it!! I am in no hurry to get them back as I have so many projects ahead of this one...I work best when stressed! I would like to put in my 2 cents on the "left over" blocks problem...I really think that they should be mixed up and then passed out. I don't want 30+ blocks that I have signed myself either. Hopefully more people will get theirs sent in soon.

Yeah!!! An extension!!! Yeah!!!
I thought that after all we'd been through around our house with DH's leukemia, trips to specialists, extended family stresses, sick friends, car wrecks, torrential rains and flooding, new babies, falls, hospitalizations, etc., etc., that I would not be able to do this, and that I would have to "Flake" out. Thank you so much for the extension!
The light at the end of the tunnel is NOT a Train!
Again, THANK YOU!

[If I was doing the swapping I would put all the extra blocks in a big pile and mix them up. If I was due 37 extras I would randomly pull 37 out of the pile.
I would much rather have two of 37 peoples blocks than 37 of my own back. I would use them before I would put 37 of my own in my quilt.

I think this is a good idea. I dont really want a whole bunch of my blocks back either. What does everyone else think?

I also agree about mixing up the extra blocks.

Also...wanted to let you know that "krazy4quilts" is in another swap that I'm in and none of us have heard from her in a long time. If I remember right, there was a tornado in her area where she lives. So we're also not sure what's going on with her, just praying everything is okay.
