Thanks for the update; hopefully they can do without the pic line; no fun for him either! We wish you both well, and a speedy recovery!!

Hugs and Loves for you both. Hopefully each day will get better than the one before, and all will be well soon.
Love and Prayers,
Mariah.

I sure hope they can fix Mr. Craftybear up real soon and get him back home.
Good luck to both of them.
Good for you getting a day or so to stay home, Craftybear.

Yes, the infectious disease team is taking care of him. He is at a big hospital and has the best doctors. He got a kidney and pancreas transplant 9/18/90.

Just scary as lots of things going on right now with his health.

Craftybear you and your husband are in my prayers. I can imagine what he is going through. Of course his case is a little more complicated because of his past transplant.

Good thing is.... God does complicated really well.

I had a pic line in a while ago. Had surgery to replace an achilles tendon and it got infected. Had to go to an infection specialist too. Had to do my own antibiotic therapy as there was no one to help me at the time. Was on antibiotics IV 4 times a day everyday for 8 weeks before I was finally rid of the infection.
Hugs,
Penny

I had a line too, though only for a week. My Infectious Dr is the one keeping me on antibiotics, still and for many months yet to come.
Infections are nasty nasty things!!!
God is stronger than any infection!!!
