Earlene Fowler's books are great too. All quilt related mysteries.

You can't really call it quitting cold turkey if you are reading quilt novels and talking to us online about quilts. It's typical addict rationalization. :-)

You are so smart I love those books by Jennifer and have read them all. Now should I give you the bad news? You will want to read and quilt! I swear as I read them I would start my day with having to decide which to do quilt or read because it just feed into the enjoyment of quilting as I read those books. Here is the best scenerio when you get home....get the books on tape and listen to them as you quilt!!!! LOL

I have no idea how you are going to do this. I see quilt blocks in everything I see. Is that bad. I have a guy in my bible study who wears a sweater that has quilt patterns I am afraid one day he might think I am flirting but I love to stare at the pattern to try and figure out how to make them :) I will keep you in prayer that the withdrawls won't be too bad but if you find your making paper napkin quilts you know you have a problem!

I am going back to Vanuatu in 3 weeks-for 6-8 weeks! I won't have space in my luggage to bring a project because I will be packing a throw I am just finishing for a charity there, plus two large wall quilts (completed) for my restaurant. I wonder how I will keep my sanity for 6-8 weeks!!! What's worse, once I get there, there is no place to buy anything!

hey, if you do not carry your quilting things, that just means that you will have room to stop and pick up new stuff for a new project.!!

The third one is the one I am reading now. I would still take my machine and a couple of projects...hehehe
I too travel in a 5th Wheel, actually live in it and it is awesome....more money for fabric:)

I'll betcha you aren't on the road a full day before you are googling quilt stores and you buy something to do by hand.
