I've been quilting for over 30 years and I still do a lot of frogging. Rip it rip it rip it!

Just think of ripping out the stitches as another design opportunity. I do mine in front of the TV. As far as getting discouraged find a quilting group or start one, it is a great support system.

I don't know what I would do without my group. We are all learning together and the fellowship is wonderful!

I used to feel that way and became very discourages. But I love quilting so much. I am not going to enter them into any contests I am only making them for family and friends so I finally relaxed. Now I can look the beautiful quilts and appreciated them without feeling badly about my own skills. I want to enjoy quilts and quilting more than that.

Take a break and in a few days all will look different and the answers will come automatically. If its a hobby for you, don't be so hard on yourself. I rip rip rip... but its okay.

One of these days you will be able to look back at these first quilts and see how far you have progressed. We have all been there, and it has taken me 10 years to decide mine are good enough to post pics of.

I think we are our own worst critics. When we look at someone else's quilts, we don't see the mistakes, places where they really worked to get it just right, etc. I bet if we looked at yours we would view it much differently than you do. Your avatar looks pretty nice! :)
