Hi sewlady31,
I figured out how much of what you need to cut in each color and made a diagram too. You can't get all the pieces cut out of just one strip on all the colors, but on some you can. Here's the link to the diagram and cutting chart. Hope that this helps. You should be able to tell from the required pieces how many strips you will need. Here's the link.

I hope this answers your question. Let me know if I can be of further assistance.
Happy Quilting,
Marilyn

Very pretty! I'm new here today and I am going to try my hand at quilting. I love the one you have under your name, danmar!! Is that perhaps a beginner project?

Welcome Cindy! Thank you! The block under my name is a
Carpenter's Star. I put the pattern on here due to so many requests. Here's the link to it:

I would think it's beginner or intermediate. I'm not sure. Do you have someone helping you to learn quilting? If so, I imagine you might be able to do it. (Maybe even without help.) If you need help, I can help by email. Just let me know. I'm getting ready to make another Carpenter's Star quilt anyways.
Enjoy this website! It has everything and the people are soooo nice! You can learn alot here!
