If dishes are done - all looks clean.

Which would you choose: Clean the house or sew the quilt?

Ihave that problem too. I use a timer. 30 minutes to sew, 30 minutes to clean. I get a lot done that way..

I set a timer when I want to sew but need to clean.. I generally set it for 30 minutes and then go like a mad woman for that time doing as much as I possibably can.. when the bell goes off, I set it again for an hour.. that's my sewing time. 2 to 1.. that a good proportion... I do that until I think I've done enough cleaning.. then I don't set the timer anymore.. I just sew!!

I was lying in bed not being able to fall asleep, then I remembered there were dishes "soaking" in the sink. So I hopped out of bed, washed the dishes and had a little Jello. Now I'm sitting here and the alarm will be buzzing at 5. The Flylady would be proud of me for getting those dishes cleaned and shining my sink.

I've posted this elsewhere: Dirty dishes in the oven, put the vacuum out and the mop bucket out, make the beds, dirty washing under the beds or in the washer, looks like you've been doing housework all day, and have just sat down to quilt.Or, in the case of my nana who taught me all this, have just sat down with a cold beer.
