I ate a cookie today, it's been several weeks since I've had one. It is funny the cookie was almost to sweet, I guess my taste buds are "reeducating themselves."

I shouldn't have eaten the cookie as now all I want is another one.

Don't be tempted Carol, try a piece of fruit maybe watermelon. I find it's not the sweet as much as something that also has a crunch. But I know what you mean one makes another sound good but resist. Brush your teeth and use mouthwash. Sometimes that helps me. Be Strong

That is the way it is with trigger foods. I have to avoid grahm crackers. I would eat anything on a graham cracker. I like pie crust, short bread, crackers, it has to do with the way they crumble in my mouth. I make short bread cookies nearly every day, but I only make enough for the kids for one day. I get by dinner okay, but I must stay in my room away from the cookies until they are gone. (Usually the next day.) I treat it a lot like an alcoholic treats alcohol. Stay away. I'm just not strong enough to have just 1. If I have eaten 1, I've eaten the whole batchf.

Eat something spicy to wash the sugar from your tongue...
peppers, a dill pickle...or brush your teeth and use some mouthwash...it really does work.

Then set to work on a project that occupies your mind...so you have taken care of teeth/taste buds, as well as changing the station of music the your mind...LOL that little tune it plays like Frito Lay's...no body can eat just one...so lets not play that tune...

Hugs and Prayers of Support.

Oh Gwyn I can't seem to kick the sugar :( I'm just binging and have regained the 14 I lost last month and my clothes feel awful, etc, etc. I'm really in a funk that I can't seem to get out of. I don't want to do anything or go anywhere. Blah, blah, blah.
