I would be interested in a 2 1/2" strip swap, unwashed, direct mail only. Mail off how many strips that will go for 44 cents or 61 cents. Suggest one dark and one light strip. It is my opinion that mailing to a hostess with return postage included is too costly. Just my opinion, you may well feel differently.

Not being able to prewash is the reason I don't use Jelly Rolls. I can add sizing to my fabric after washing and want to be able to control bleeding and shrinkage. Not everyone (me!! is into the shrinky vintage look) and I never want to chance the color bleed. Color catchers will improve odds but don't guarantee no matter where you buy your fabric.

I think what the hostess of this possible future swap is talking about is actually "cut your own" 2.5" strips instead of buying a jelly roll and putting it in an envelope, buy yardage, wash it, dry it, cut it into strips THEN send it off. At least this would be the ONLY way I would wash 2.5 inch strips! lol I lose color catchers in the washer, much less 2.5" strips. lol It wouldn't be different than washing fabric for any other swap.

I too am a non-washer, but many people can't handle unwashed fabrics and I am sure that is the reason for prewashing.
