Another beautiful year for you! Does he plant anything in the ground? I'm amazed at the number of pots/baskets. Just like quilting, with flowers, the more the better. Thanks for sharing.

Only shrubs and perennials in the ground - tubs and baskets can be sited in shady places and better for watering and feeding. You will notice the baskets are lined with green plastic (pierced several times underneath for drainage), instead of moss, so that the humidity remains within the compost and they don't dry out quickly as they would with moss.
We buy green plastic dustbin liners and cut them in half, line the basket, fill with compost & plants. Then trim & tuck in the plastic, pierce the bottom about 4 or 5 times with a screwdriver.
The rigid containers all have a layer of stones over the drainage holes.

what a blessed woman you are to have a husband that surrounds you with all that beauty and color. Your home is beautiful as well... I forgot to ask, what type of fertilizer does he use? Simply amazing...

Well he's been busy again, and despite a very cold spring and late start to summer, it all looks lovely again.

Beautiful flowers, I like looking but hate having them in my yard to take care of. Thank you for sharing
