Susan should be able to mark the 1/4" seam lines easily. She can use 1/4" quilter's tape to guide , what seems like it would be difficult to us, sorting colors, will probably be child's play to her. Once they're sorted she'll know just which piece to pick up. And when she's been bitten by the quilting bug her computer will allow her to join us here on the Board! Hey Susan, we're waiting to welcome you.

In the early 80's Helen Kelley wrote a column called Loose Threads in the Quilters Newsletter Magazine. One column I believe was devoted to her daughter who was blind and quilted. I've been looking for that issue and can't find it, perhaps someone else will remember that story.

The article is in QNM May '84 - they marked outline quilting with 1/4" masking tape. Then she worked along the pattern by lifting he tape as she went and quilting just below the edge.

Thank you. I will have my library start searching for that issue. They are very good detectives!
