My preference is #1, but I think #2 won because it could be incorporated into a quilt with blocks that do not need continuity to each other. It stands alone. So which one won?
They are both beautiful, would love to see a large quilt out of both these squares, but if I have to judge. #1 which shows more floral fabric and I like stars.
