That's cute! My brothers and sisters called me Retta, but my nieces and nephews all seem able to say Loretta. I am wondering what my Grandkids will call me. They are not talking much yet.

It is a little heavy. I used--- I can't remember what I used for the backing seems like flannel but ... I will have to ask my sister, she has it. I do remember that we stitched it with what we call a crow's foot, instead of tieing. I just used a polyester batting.

Thanks, Retta. I've found some lightweight denim, so I think I'm going to use that as well. Thanks for the advice.
I see you're from Utah. Our granddaughter lives in Lehi, so we come to Utah occasionally. We're LDS and BYU graduates, so we like to "find our roots." I've never done any shopping for fabric, etc. there for quilts because Lehi is a stopover to touch base with our granddaughter and then head on to Arizona and California to meet other family members. Ah well...someday. Thanks again.
