How about making a pillowcase to match and put the quilt inside and either use buttons to close or then wrap ribbon around everything.

I just made some simple tie lap quilts to give as wedding gifts to some in our church, and i made a fabric shopping bag and put the quilt in that, so two gifts in one.

This juice bags are sooo cute!!! Do you cut them open before sewing them together?
I slit open the bottoms, wash, dry and remove sticky (from straw) before sewing. It is a long process; but worth it. They last a long time and can carry wet things and heavy loads. I have experimented with all kinds of handles.

What a lovely idea. And you can add a pretty gift tag
attached with a gilded safety pin.

Love the way you do it. If you are still gifting, I will take one. ;)

I like to make a "Bag" out of net and then put the bow on it.
This is especially nice for a baby quilt.
