Butterfly Blue, I like your baloons. Are they pieced? Mine are similar, I draw the balloon but applique the fabrics. It is interesting how different people approaches the same project. Very nice!

Yes, they are pieced. I don't care much for applique. I wanted my balloons round, and curved piecing doesn't scare me, so this was what I came up with.

You did a wonderful job. Curved piecing scares me!!! I tried not to long ago and I wasn't very good at it.

It does take a little while to get the hang of piecing curves. Try it again sometime, and read some tips on curved piecing. You'll probably do much better on a second try.

I love the look of curved piecing so much that I've been determined to learn it ever since I started quilting. I'm now getting to the point I think I could do a whole top and not give up in despair.
