I don't know, he's pretty formidable looking, I think I'd let him do whatever he wants.

And yes, the dog does have a cat buddy.

I have basenjis, the dog for people who like cats.
I've seen them lick themselves clean (though they do it on the sofa) I had one that climbed a spruce tree so he could eat the eggs in the robin's nest, they don't bark, and they have the 'aloofness' normally associated with a cat. But once they decide you're worthy of their prescence, you're in!

Currently 2 indoor cats, 1 dog, 3 horses, and few cats visiting our barn regularly from the neighbors farm! Love all the critters!
