We were watching "Lie To Me" last night, and about three quarters of the way through the characters are in the foyer of a courthouse with the camera angle from the floor above looking down. Never mind the storyline, there was the most amazing tile floor pattern! I had to pause the tv, it really captured my attention and even hubby said "that would be an amazing quilt".

I've been trying to find a picture online, but not having much luck. Later in the program there was a reference from one of the characters to the "District Of Columbia Courthouse" but I can't find any pictures of tiled floors under that search either.

Can anyone help?

That's a gorgeous floor, but not the one we saw.

Have managed to take a photo with my phone, so it's not great quality but you get the general idea...

I'd be really interested in what the other outer circles are

Amazing isn't it.

I would have thought that such an amazing piece of work would be featured somewhere, it's just a matter of finding it. Whether it's historical or new it must be pictured on a website somewhere.

It isn't that exact pattern but there's a book called Bella Bella that has mosaic patterns in the round. They are designed after mosaic floors.

Well, I looked around, and I see that "Lie to Me" is filmed in Los Angeles....don't know if that will help you or not. :O)
