Hi Margaret,
I also went to the Festival in Birmingham. We stayed in a hotel in the center of Birmingham for a few nights. I went to the NEC a couple of days and my Husband had a great time exploring the City.
I am also a new quilter ( started last year September ), and like you I am totally hooked !
I felt like a child in a sweet shop at that exhibition, and needless to say , I came home with a lovely new stash !!!!
And the books---- I couln't resist those either !
Can't wait 'till next year !!!

Hi Margaret and welcome. I went to the Festival of Quilts last week, wasn't it fantastic, just looking at all those quilt on display was so inspiring, and yes, like you I spent loads of money as well.

Welcome from Canton, Georgia, USA. After quilt guild today some of us stayed around to chat and sometimes actually work on projects. We decided today that most of us are addicted to material. My "Secret Sister" left me a package of fat quarters and a pattern for a table runner. It just matches the curtains in our kitchen and I am excited to get started. Mostly, I just like to feel the material and look at the exciting colorful patterns. (Yes, I collect material!) I have posted a little note on the back of my closet with instructions if I leave this world before I get all the material used, to only give it to another crazy fabric addicted person! It is most likely a good thing that I don't own a quilt shop as I wouldn't allow anyone to purchase all the beautiful fabrics or I would have separation anxiety as each piece left. See you are normal compared to some of us quilters!
