For those of you interested in how I made the skirts, here it is:

Buy a pair of jeans or skirt at Goodwill the appropriate size of the person the skirt is made for. Cut completely around the circumference at 1" below the bottom of the zipper.

Using muslin, determine the length of the skirt + hem. Cut muslin at 1.5 the size of the circumference of the jeans. Sew the salvages with the edge of the salvage overlapping the previous strip by 1/4" or slightly more. When done, sew the center back seam and gather the top of the muslin. Attach to jeans. (This may be the hardest part because of denim pockets and seams!) Complete the hem. Have fun! Let me know if you have any questions.
