I agree with everyone on the black&white, and I think the yellow binding would be great - unless you're worried about him dragging the quilt around. Then the yellow edges would show dirt pretty fast!

Black and white is more masculine; the red gingham seems "frilly" somehow.

I like the black for the back too, but I would bind it with the gold in the trucks. It will bring the trucks out a bit. Nice looking quilt. Love the pattern and you did a great job!!!

I like the black & white circle material for the back. I would really like to see a yellow border to match the fabric on the quilt top!
