You've certainly come to the right place to learn from some extraordinary people (note that I did not just say women - there are some excellent male and youth quilters here, as well). I am fairly new, too, and no one has ever made me feel inferior for asking what I feel are stupid questions. I made a couple of wall hangings, a baby quilt, and today just finished a twin bed quilt "top", so I am a long, long way from being expert, but I'll help you in any way I can.
