Marathon FMQ Finished!

"I had ditched around all the blocks in advance. There was lots of thread burying to do because of that, but much easier than trying to "travel" with the weight."
I gather you fmq around each block, but what do you mean about thread burying. I just make tinier stitches and cut the thread close. How did you start and end each stitching unit. I think you can teach us a lot. In fact, I'm running to get my book "Hooked on Feathers" which I bought but never tried. I will now. Absolutely beautiful.

I just took a FMQ class last Saturday and can't wait to try it on the piece I threw together before the class. I don't know how it will go because I think one needs to know how to draw a few things before doing FMQ. I may end up just doing stippling my first piece.
Your quilt is absolutely beautiful.

My favorite colors! Beautiful quilting too. I don't think I will ever get to quilt like that. I want to get innovative, but I also don't want to 'ruin' even a charity quilt. So the practice, practice gets lost on me.
