Thanks everyone. My daughter came for a few days this week and love the top. Now if I can just get it quilted before her deployment is over.

When having to press a large quilt (King size bed ) I iron it right on the bed. This requires moving it around and ironing section by section. You need a long extension cord to do this. I found that it beats doing it on the ironing board. Sometimes you have to crawl across the bed if you can't reach far enough. Hope this is helpful. It is lovely !!!

This quilt is beautiful. Where did you get the pattern? This is just what I'm looking for.

This is from a Pat Sloan book....."I can't believe I'm quilting beyond the basics". #4430 Copyright 2008. This quilt is on the back cover. My daughter saw it and wanted "this quilt" so I had to hunt for the fabrics. The fabrics are by Amy Butler. I found all but one.

Best of luck and enjoy!

I actually found the book at Hobby Lobby, but also saw it at Hancocks. The top was fast and easy and I feel turned out beautiful. I still haven't quilted it yet but not in a real hury since my DD is getting ready do deploy for 6 to 9 months and will not be needing it for a good while. Besides, I have to work on the Grandkids quilts right now. whew!
