Yes, sending prayers up, not only for our quilter friends, but everyone in that area. Mrs. B please keep giving us updates on the situation there.

Thank you for the updates. I'm getting better news here. I'm glad that Gal and her family are safe. Hopefully we will hear from others soon.

As mentioned, my DD and SIL are in Auckland, NZ. In fact, DD was home for 2 months and just reached Auckland yesterday. Chatted via computer with my SIL last evening and they are fine, didn't even feel a little shake. Auckland is on the North Island. I am very relieved. Just after they arrived there last year there was a quake that they did feel a little jiggle. We were planning to visit Christchurch when we go over to NZ in February.

Thanks for all the prayers and good thoughts for our Kiwi friends. I am adding mine for those who have been forced out of their homes and/or have been affected by the damage and chaos.

News on radio after it hit, was reported to be in Australia. Then heard it was Chrischurch. What a horrible thing to have happen anywhere. If any on Borad here from NZ hope all is well. Keep us informed.

I have some real good friends in Christchurch and I can not get hold of them. I am going to leave them an email and see if they can get back to me but I hope everyone is fairing well as they can over there.

It is still winter and it is cold there.

I am in California and I have experienced every big earthquake in Northern California and Southern California, starting in 1956. No kidding. I feel like the earthquake magnet. I hope every one is ok. I saw some photos on u-tube and it was bad.

The earthquake was a little inconvenient, I think,in spite of it "not being a breaker" somewhere else in the world...
