I have used pieces of heirloom hankies in quilts - for kids and grands. A part of their past is passed down.

I am expecting grand #6 in January. I have asked daughter in law to send me something from her family to incorporate into the quilt.

I saw a pattern in the Quilters World magazine that had them made to look like envelopes. The hankie part was the V part of the envelope it was quite cute and a great way to show off the embroidery. I might have the copy if you would like a picture.

I have a customer bringing me a hankie quilt in the next week or so. I will post when I get it in.
I cant wait to see what you do with it.

I have a bunch of hankies I plan on using. Someone told me to iron them on to a fusible like you use on an applique to make them stronger.
