Many years ago I made a lone star out of double knits in red, white and blue. At the time I didn't know how to finish it off once I got the star done. I don't know what ever happened to it but I have thought about it many times...That one is beautiful! I am so glad she knew how to finish it and now it is a beautifully quilted treasure! :thumbup: :D

I am truely sorry about the lost of your mother. About ten years after my mother passed away I finished piecing a grandmothers' flower garden top that she had started and never had the chance to complete. I quilted it last year. I have it hanging on the wall of my quilting studio and feel so blessed to have her presence with me every day.
