Wow! What a wonderful gift. I lived with an aunt my first year of college (1964) and she had a treadle. I sewed clothes for myself, barbie doll clothes for my liittle sister and nieces and a red velvet pillbox hat I designed on that machine. I really liked it. So enjoy!

Have you checked the singer website with her serial number? The Sphinx decals were a limited edition.
It is obvious you are a very valued assistant to your boss. Congratulations
I checked - she was born 5/25/05. Not bad looking for a 105 year old!

Looks like the one my grandfather had. I used to play with it as a child. Wish I had it now. Congratulations.

Oh what memories that brought back to me....I began my sewing on one of those babies. Hemmed a tea towell and made an apron for 4H project in the late 40's. WOW has it really been that long ago--time flies when you sew up a storm.

Oh, my! What a wonderful beautiful machine! What a valued employee you must be! I sewed on one of these machines at a nursing home in the early 70's in the laundry area. This looks exactly like the cabinet, but don't remember the machine being this nice! Oh, what great memories! Enjoy it!!
