Very pretty :D I had a blanket similar to that growing up and they are VERY thick! I bet it is a snuggle quilt :D

When I first saw it I thought you must have done a lot of fussy cutting on it, the colors just pop out, I IS beautiful, you know it is going to be warm. You did a great job. Theresse

It's lovely. I would really love to try a Bargello. Was actually thinking of taking some paper to work and trying to make a design I could follow. I like tying, I have done it on a baby quilt that I made it turned out well.
    Well done.

Thank you all for the great response! Here is the recipe I followed...

    http://www.quiltville.com/scrapbargello.shtml
I emailed Bonnie and sent her a picture of how mine turned out and she wrote me back.

Bonnie Hunter was actually in Jacksonville this weekend for the Quilt Fest and I did not even realize it was her until late Sunday afternoon. lol She has a lot more I want to try.

Yes the backing is THICK. I remember snuggling under it as a kid and I know my son will probably snuggle under it now :)

Barb_MO, I am going to attempt your bargello soon. Now that I have this one out of the way and sort of know what to expect ;) I have already printed out your tut!
