I like it as is, and you could also make two quilts if you separated each block with a plain pink square in checker - board pattern. If you had the darker pink around each block, the plain blocks could be filled with a nice quilting pattern.

If you want to keep those nice shapes that are created in the corners without the sashing, I think you need to change your border color to contrast more, without losing the softness. The tone of that pink, without it being in the sashing, doesn't highlight the overall design. If you want to use the pink, I would follow Sulabug's recommendation and sash it with the pink as well. Can't wait to see the darker pink, and then the finished quilt.
