I've made Mariner's Star and will say that her patterns rock. I've found that by the time you have bought paper and copied a pattern, that's a big piece of the price. So it is worth it to me to have it already copied and in the package.
I was a bit disgruntled when I spent $40 on a pattern (Jacqueline DeJohnge) at the IQF and it doesn't come with all the pieces needed. Instead you have to do a lot of copying. I would have paid more just to have that already done!
And Judy N's patterns are gorgeous both on the cover and in real life. Next time I want a super challenging one, I will definitely consider this one!

It IS beautiful and there's no denying her design flair but I'd like to know her production costs - the mark up must be extortionate! Just my opinion, like I said, the pattern is beautiful but I'd rather design my own, produce unique if less beautiful pieces and save my money for fabric.

I do a lot of paper-piecing too and think as many pieces that are in this one, to get them made on newsprint it would probably cost at least that and maybe more, so well worth the 60.00. I really liked her Wedding Star that seen at our Quilt Show here, but since seeing this one I like it more! To have the patterns all premade LOVE IT..From what I understand her patterns are very easy to follow and very well organized. I just purchased one of her table runner wedding rings to try, and then think this one will be next. Absolutely Beautiful!
