Our walmart was remodeled and we still have a fabric dept, and cutting table. The dept is smaller, but, we have bolts and looks like they get some in as they are still in plastic.
Out in the aisles they have tables with all bolts of fleece. They also have a bin with $5.00 fabric ( I would not use it for quilting)
it all feels like knits and polyester.
We also have batting, some sewing machines. A few packaged, but, looks like they are not bringing in any more of those

I recently asked again at our WM, and was told they do plan to take it out. However, as someone else said...you never know what may happen.

We had the same thing a couple of weeks ago in Auburn, Maine. There was not one thing on that table worth $5. I'm glad there was something nice in your Walmart.

I also saw it in a Washington, PA wallmart, but it is not quality material. It looks like it has a rayon in it. Certainly not quilting material. It is almost sheer. Nice patterns but I walked away from it. 5 yard bolts for $5.00. We all know it is not quality for that price. Thanks for nothing Walmart! Junk is no bargain at any price!

I found that some of the pre-cut is from China.

Funny you should mention that. My daughter travels to Bentonville a couple times a year, since she is a manager for Hanes Brands. When she questioned (at my urging) what happened to the fabric, she was told that it was INDEED a man that had the final say-so. It figures. Maybe a WOMAN should discontinue the sporting goods or automotive department? Wonder how that would fly?
