Let me tell you, this is really not scarry at all! In fact, it was one of the most fun to do of all 40 something I have made!! Really, it is so fun rotating each one of the four duplicate squares within one block..each rotation makes a different design. So there are four possibilities for each block. Then there's another chance for design decision as you layout all the blocks into rows. I am very serious when I say, it is NOT difficult. Go to HDDesigns.net and order the pattern. The directions are wonderful....very clear, very detailed, very easy to follow. The most important thing is to pick a focus fabric with a large repeat. This only had a 12" repeat and it came out great because of two different color poppies. I hand quilted it around each flowered square, but then machine quilted it around the main fabric in the border. Spent over a year, in between other quilts of course.

No, only one stack n whack...though this is definitely one of my favorites!! oh, I'm wrong! I did one more with the X ruler. You make a nine patch, then whack off corners with the X ruler. Really cool geometric look, with no work (but a lot of waste if you don't stitch the tiny triangles together that you whacked off! I did not!) My 15 yr old grandson loved it!

I am getting ready to do a Stack and Whack, so have some questions.
    1. How far apart should the repeat be for the smaller flowers. I have in mind the larger flowers from an 8-12" repeat.
I love the small flowers, and would love to make it!
