I like the first one. The 'I Love You' shows up better. The second one sort or puts your eye out! :-D

I like the muted tones on the first one, but the darker border.

I agree, I think the lettering detracts from the beautiful quilt. You could name the quilt "I Love You" and it would be on the label. The heart itself says I love you too.
