Thanks Jodie, I think I will be pushing my luck for her to go looking for the other quilt shops. The City Quilter sounds perfect.I checked out their website and they have New York fabric which is unique to us, so hopefully she can get me some of that.

I looked at City Quilter website too. Their prices are comparable to our LQS prices here. And it looks like it is very convinent in Manhattan.
I'm thinking of sending my daughter over there for some of the New York fabric too. Love getting a unique fabric!
Jilloc hope all goes well for your daughter's errand. What a neat souviner for her to bring you.

Great shop, nice people
And, they have a line of their own fabric - all related to New York City and fabulous fabric.

The City Quilter
133 West 25th Street
New York, NY 10001

This is the place I visited each time I've been in NYC - mainly because I stay at the YMCA. Don't listen to anyone telling you that they are pricey - they are quite reasonable by Australian standards. There are also a number of celebrity quilters who advertise tours of the garment district to get nick knacks and stuff. I found that really good fun, even if it was more expense for the first time.

B&J Fabric 525 Seventh Ave. 2nd Floor is terrific. It's around 36th Street on Seventh Ave.
