A lot of LQSs in my area charge $2.50 to $2.95. I try to buy at $1.57 or lower. So, they usually are on sale unless I am really in love with the fabric.

That looks like a great store to be near. :-D

Very good price at $1.00. I have seen them from $1.75 on up.

I agree with you about the prices of fat quarters in Canada and I have even seen really cheap feeling ones at Walmart selling for $2 each.

At JoAnns' today, I paid $1.49 and $1.99 depending on the prints.

hi Remclave, my LQS sells them at 2.50 a FQ. To tell if its good quality fabric, hold a swatch up to the light if you can if you can see through it- not good. Or feel it, if it feels "heavy"- that's good.

I didn't read all the other responses to your message, but if the
fabric is see-thru or feels stiff, it probably is not a good quality.

I went to TUES. MORNING Store here yesterday on the advice from someone on this board. They had FQ bundles (12) for $7.99. I bought two matching ones. Have not unbundled them to check them out as of yet...
