Well, thank you, MNM  !
It sounds like your friend is doing a bit of reverse applique. Maybe someday I will do something like that, but it is a bit more ambitious than I tend to think about <g>.
I really appreciate all your input, help, and ideas <wave>

I used cottons. The edges do fuzz a little bit, but not too badly.

I would really like to thank you, Uglycook, for the easy tut on the patchwork jacket. I have always wanted one znc it was on my "to do list", but I was a little intimidated. With DGD coming for a visit, it was the perfect opportunity to try making a small one. And it was easy, although took more time than I thought it would. Thanks again -- she just loves it and I think I will make one for me now!

Well, I am sold. I am going to start small and try one for my DGD who is almost 5 yrs. old. I think if I use some fairy fabric and maybe some poodles and some florals she will absolutely love it! Especially if I let her help with it!
Thanks for taking time to make this great turtorial!

Great job - can't wait to make one myself :)

Thanks for taking the time to do this for us!

Uglycook, you inspired me to make a vest I've wanted to make for a long time. This is to celebrate the Mexican Day of the Dead which is in November. Thank you!!

Wow! That is awesome! I've seen that fabric and wondered what people will do with it.
